Medical Department

The Medical Department offers programs that will teach you the skills to gain employment in the healthcare field.  Successful completion of the following courses provides eligibility to sit for National Certification.

Administrative Medical Assisting

Work in a medical office as an Administrative Medical Assistant where you would handle the business portion of the medical practice

Clinical Medical Assisting

Learn the hands on skills needed to administer direct patient care

Medical Insurance Billing & Coding

Medical Billers and Coders can work in Doctors’ offices, Medical Insurance companies or from home processing medical insurance claims

EKG
monitoring, life monitor, ekg

This class teaches detailed anatomy and physiology of the circulator system, plus electrocardiography

EMT
first responders, ambulance, emergency room

This class can be used as a first step towards a career as an EMT, Paramedic, Fire Fighter, Nurse or Medical doctor

Pharmacy Technician

In this class you learn how to process a prescription.  Licensure can offer the opportunity to work in a retail or hospital pharmacy

Certified Caregiving

No state or national certification is available for this course.  This is a skills based class that will enable you to work in a private home or an assisted living facility
