National Certification

A Medication Technician assists in coordinating the delivery of medication and health related items to residents within an assisted living community. This vital role in healthcare requires customer service skills, organizational skills, and this program covers that and more by combining our pharmacy technician class with our certified caregiver class. Weekday, Saturday, and evening options are available.

Completion of pharmacy technician prepares students to sit for the PTCB national exam at an additional fee. State licensure in pharmacy requires students pass the national exam and/or complete an externship. Students must also provide proof of high school graduation or equivalent to the State of California to obtain a license, and have no felony convictions.
