Emergency Medical Technician
(EMT)

One of the fastest growing careers today! Our EMT program is taught by current working paramedics and will prepare you for work with an ambulance service, in an emergency room or for work in a clinical setting as well as being a pre-requisite for firefighting or paramedic careers. Upon successful completion of course and final exam, students will receive EMT-1 Course Certificate of Completion and will then qualify to take the National Registry Exam which certifies students as EMT-1 in the State of California for a period of 2 years. (High School Diploma or Equivalent required.)
Coursework includes: 152 hours of medical theory combined with practical skills and 24 hours of clinical experience including “ride-alongs” with emergency transport providers in the County of Ventura. The course includes a class in Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS/CPR).
